An assembled sensor stick, awaiting soldering

For a mounting surface and conductor, I used a length of 14-gauge (or so) solid insulated wire, with the ends stripped off. The "bottom" (lower left) is bent to allow plenty of contact with the water. Along it, ten 0.1µF capacitors (Mouser P/N 539-CK06104K) are mounted.
